Winning Culture

Background

Culture eats strategy for breakfast for sure, but it also provides an environment for success. Interim leadership creates a perfect opportunity for a culture reset and with experience comes tried and true methods that will jump start a people-centric culture.

Another fun story from the travels of Interim HealthTech Leaders: We worked with an organization on due diligence and post acquisition activity and there was immediate discontent amongst the acquirer and acquiree. The acquired company was known for its people centric culture, and I would go as far as to say it was one of the reasons for the acquisition. As too often happens though, the acquirer went about imposing its will...and culture, going as far as to say this: "we don't care about your culture, you gave that up when we acquired you"! Oh boy.


Culture matters when you are running a business, buying a business and selling a business. It is just often the first things to be cut at times of stress and upheaval. Those are the times that Interim Executives (or new executives for that matter)  often arrive, and we at Interim HealthTech Leaders prioritize culture right along execution and results!


We won’t sacrifice the great just to focus on the good, meaning we won’t throw away long term culture for short term feel good "wins".
